About Me

My love for costume stems from my desire to create art, experiment with fabric, and tell stories through clothing. I believe costume is essential in bringing theatre and film to life and I would love to be a part of this creative process in the future. I am a graduate from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Costume Design and Construction (BA Hons), specialising in costume making. My degree has allowed me to learn and experiment with many different techniques ranging from tailoring to corsetry and delving into experimenting with a multitude of fabric manipulation techniques. I have also had experience with millinery and mixed materials, such as plastazote and worbla, to create non-fabric elements, allowing me to explore a different avenue of costume making. My creative abilities are also conveyed in  my costume designs, which are made with expression and passion in order to make the costume come off the page and brought to life. The placements that I undertook during university improved my alteration and construction abilities and helped me understand the level of professionalism that is needed within the costume industry.
